Supermarkets Amigo Invests $ 8 Million In Its Remodeling

Supermarkets Amigo announced today that it invested $ 7.8 million in the remodeling of its 12 stores around the island, with the aim of improving the shopping experience of its customers.

As part of the renovation, the stores in the supermarket chain have new paint and signage on the exterior and interior, as with a new mini deli area, refrigerators with fresh cut fruits and a greater variety and quantity of merchandise, including products local. The fruit and vegetable department has also been updated to facilitate the purchase of these products, many of which are harvested on the island.

The remodeling of the stores includes the incorporation of new gondolas, counters, signage, “Scan and Go” terminals – a technology that accelerates the customer payment process – and LED lighting system in all areas to continue strengthening the environmental commitment that the company has, it was indicated.
