A new contagion of the novel strain of the coronavirus in the United States was confirmed this week by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The case was detected in the state of California and, as reported, the person was already under the quarantine period ordered by the federal government for recent travelers from Wuhan, China, where the epicenter of 2019-nCoV is unleashed.
With this case there are already 13 people in the United States infected with this respiratory disease.RELATED
In a brief written statement, the CDC notified that it is conducting an investigation of people who have tested positive for the virus to determine their contacts and assess whether they were at high risk of infection.
Although to date there is no specific vaccine or treatment against the most recent version of the coronavirus, the CDC advises following the recommendations for prevention of other respiratory diseases. These include washing your hands with soap and water frequently for about 20 seconds, especially after using the bathroom, eating, sneezing or coughing.
It is also suggested to avoid contact with infected people, stay home if you are sick, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
