The House Of Representatives Approves Rules Of The Process To Trump's Political Trial

(WAB NEWS) – The US House of Representatives voted Thursday and the rules of the political trial process against President Donald Trump were approved, thus opening the next phase of his investigation.

The Chamber approved the resolution of procedures earlier this Thursday, and then voted on the resolution to formalize what the rules will be like in the investigation.

No Republican voted in favor of the resolution.

There were 232 votes in favor (231 Democrats and one independent) 196 against (two Democrats and 194 Republicans) and only 4 did not vote: 1 Democrat and 3 Republicans.

The vote is about the procedures that could lead President Donald Trump to become the third president in the history of the United States to be subjected to a political trial.

Remember: this was not a vote to dismiss President Trump, but a vote to formalize the removal proceedings.

What happens now: the political trial investigation will continue, according to the protocols described in the resolution.

The theory of work among Democrats is that there will be one or two weeks of statements behind closed doors, and that public hearings before the House Intelligence Commission could begin the second week of November.

Trump reacted to the vote on Twitter:

"It is the biggest witch hunt in US history"

The Greatest Witch Hunt In American History!

The vote is a move towards the next stage of the investigation after several weeks of statements behind closed doors, since the Democrats said the resolution would establish rules for public hearings, grant due process rights to the White House and allow the information would be transferred to the commission that would finally consider the articles of the political trial.

Before the vote, Trump tweeted that the vote was affecting the market. The Dow opened with 0.6% down, but the market is still on the longest upward streak in history:

The Impeachment Hoax is hurting our Stock Market. The Do Nothing Democrats don’t care!
