The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has registered around fifteen earthquakes during the night of this past Friday and the first hours of the morning of this Saturday, January 30th, within the seismic swarm that has affected the metropolitan area of ​​Granada in recent days.

The town of Santa Fe has been the epicenter of the vast majority of this series of earthquakes, specifically, of twelve recorded between 11:06 p.m. on Friday and 9:56 a.m. on Saturday, with an intensity that It has ranged between magnitude 1.5 and 2.4 reached by an earthquake registered at 5.16 am this S aturday, according to the information available on the IGN website.

In addition to Santa Fe, the earthquakes of the last hours have had as their epicenter the Granada municipalities of Atarfe –where a 1.6 magnitude tremor was registered at 3.44 am– and Loja, where another earthquake of the same intensity has occurred at 1.07 in the morning of this Saturday.

Previously, at 22.18 hours this Friday, there was an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 and its epicenter in Santa Fe, as also reported by the 112 emergency service, which received two calls from the Granada town regarding this earth movement from Huetor Vega and of the Local Police of Santa Fe who reported having felt it, although there are no damages for the moment, as reported by the single emergency telephone number through social networks.

Last Thursday night, 112 reported that it had attended almost a hundred notices from different parts of the province of Granada, 64 of them between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., due to registered earthquakes, with no evidence of personal injury. nor materials of a structural nature.
