The Weather Channel has identified 26 snowstorms that will affect several regions of the country during the winter of 2019-20.
The weather service published on Thursday a list of 26 names to identify the snowstorms that will affect several corners of the country this season. The list of names was compiled by a team from The Weather Channel TV and weather.com.
Although Weather Channel did not specify the areas where storms will occur, a report by AccuWeather says that this winter will bring a lot of snow and harsh winter storms in the northwest, which includes New York City and its surroundings.

According to the Weather Channel website, winter storms are named based on the meeting, or the expectation of meeting, at least one of the following criteria:
NWS winter, snow or ice storm warnings covering at least a population of 2 million people.
NWS winter, snow or ice storm warnings covering at least an area of 400,000 square kilometers.
The names are: Aubrey, Bessie, Caleb, Dorothy, Ezekiel, Finley, Gage, Hernry, Isaiah, Jacob, Kade, Lamont, Mabel, Nash, Odell, Pearl, Quincy, Ruth, Sadie, Thatcher, Upton, Veronica, Wyatt, Xandra, Yates, Zacharaiah. The first winter storm of the season was named during the first days of October until mid-November, according to the weather service website. The last winter storm of the season was named from mid-April to mid-May.
